Bio
Vancouver born artist Karin Vengshoel left a near decade career in fashion design and merchandising to pursue her first love, painting.
Over the last several years Karin has created a large collection of paintings, many of which can be found in private and commercial collections across BC.
The foundation of her work lies in the consistently strong process-based element, where she employs repetitive, obsessive techniques to create oil and mixed media paintings on wood and canvas.
Karin experiments with pallet, texture and composition,
layering expressive brush strokes with heavy layers of resign capturing light and movement in its changing qualities in-order to create works of art that engage the viewer and create a visual narrative.
